The Marinka’s Tower covered with legends will give you an unforgettable view of Kolomna.
The most legendary tower of the Kolomna Kremlin is Marinka’s, which got its name because the scandalous Empress Marina Mnishek was once imprisoned in it. According to local legends, she managed to escape by turning into a magpie and flying out the window. They say that even now a black bird often circles over the tower, keeping the curse of the Polish adventurer. And the treasures, which, according to another legend, are stored either under the tower, or in the neighborhood, are still being sought by many fans and even archaeologists.
There is a spiral staircase inside the tower and there is something to see on every floor. The room of Marina Mnishek was also recreated here. And at the very top is one of the best viewing platforms in the Moscow region. Climb to a height of 30 meters and enjoy the magnificent panorama.
